Dogs and Cats:
For atopic dermatitis, allergic conjunctivitis, general allergies: 0.25 - 1 mg/kg live weight (loading dose). Subsequent doses to be adjusted by the veterinarian.
For congenital adrenal hyperplasia, non-suppurative thyroiditis, systemic lupus erythematosus, autoimmune hemolytic anemia: 0.5 - 1 mg/kg live weight, with possible dose reductions below 0.5 mg/kg in prolonged treatments.
Contraindications / Warnings / Precautions
Should not be used in cases of tuberculosis, peptic ulcer, diabetes mellitus, blood dyscrasia, or pregnant animals. Also not recommended for use in animals during their first weeks of life.
