Teknosül Injectable Solution Overview

Composition:

• Each ml contains:
  • Sulfamethoxazole: 200 mg
  • Trimethoprim: 40 mg

Indications for Use:

• Respiratory System Infections:
  • Pasteurella pneumonias
  • Enzootic pneumonias
  • Pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, bronchopneumonia, pleuritis
• Gastrointestinal System Infections:
  • E. coli and Salmonella spp. infections
  • Gastritis, enteritis, gastroenteritis
• Urogenital System Infections:
  • Nephritis, pyelonephritis, cystitis, vaginitis
  • Supportive treatment for metritis
• Other Infections:
  • Soft tissue infections
  • Secondary bacterial complications of viral infections

Administration Routes and Dosage:

• Cattle, Sheep, Goats: Intramuscular or slow intravenous injection
• Horses: Slow intravenous injection (solution close to body temperature)
• Dogs: Intravenous or intramuscular injection
• Cats: Intramuscular injection
• Dosage: 1 ml per 10-15 kg body weight for 3-5 days (unless advised otherwise by a veterinarian)
• Important: Avoid subcutaneous injections due to local reactions. Ensure aseptic conditions during administration.

Withdrawal Periods:

• Meat: Cattle, sheep, and goats should not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment and for 14 days after the last treatment.
• Milk: Cow, ewe, and goat milk should not be used for human consumption during treatment and for 5 days (10 milkings) after the last treatment.
